Rev Bowen challenged the members of his congregation to stop complaining for 21 days. To remind them to stop complaining, he gave them purple rubber bracelets. Every time they caught themselves complaining they had to switch the bracelet to the other wrist and start the mission over. Bowen has since distributed six million of these purple bracelets around the world.
